About: Vikings Events

	About “Vikings Events” was developed as a solution to increase students engagement by allowing them to find on campus events in a quick fashion. It also offers an option to filter events based on their category. It was specifically developed to be accessed on mobile devices mainly, yet it is also accessible on desktops. The beta version of the project was developed by Ahmed Bohliqa, a recent graduate from the Computer Science undergraduate program at Portland State University. He then gifted it to Portland State University Student Ambassador Program, where he used to be a coordinator and an ambassador for the program during 2008-2010. The final version of the project was then developed and maintained by Zakaria Almatar, another recent graduate from the Computer Science undergraduate program at Portland State University.
